GAME CATEGORY: Comparison Game. GROUP OF GAMES: Showdown Game. THE AIM OF THE PLAYERS: To build the dynasty - the longest set of cards (maximum six cards) with different numbers, followed each other without interruption, minimum of two, starting with the lowest possible number, which is 1. Samples: 1-2; 2-3-4-5-6; 3-4-5; 5-6. SIMILAR GAMES: Poker, Genpoker. AMOUNT OF PLAYERS: from 2 to 10. TIME TO PLAY: 5 minutes - several hours. CARDS: For 2-9 players - use 64 cards (withdraw 8 cards - any 4 black and 4 red cards from generation #6 of Six Generations 72-cards deck). For 6-10 players - use the entire 72-card deck. SHUFFLING: Yes
BETTING: Possible. DEALING: From top of the deck, face down, clockwise, one card to each player at a time, dealer deals out seven cards to each player. Dealer must show to everyone a card at the bottom of the deck. The color of this card, black or red, tells, that this color is more valuable during this game. RULES: The players all look at their seven cards, and tell the dealer how many cards they want to exchange, discarding the same quantity of cards before they receive new cards from the dealer. The cards, up to all of them, are replaced only one time. Dealer places the discharged cards at the bottom of the deck, and deals the cards from the top. Note: some time, when a large amount of players are exchanging many cards, some of them may receive the cards, dropped by the previous players and placed at the bottom of the deck, but later moved to the top - this does not matter. After exchanging their cards, the players compare their sets with each other to identify the winner. It does not matter, how many cards with the same number players have. If two players have the sets starting with the same lowest number, then the set with longer sequence of numbers wins. Sample: set 3-4-5-6 wins over 3-4-5. If the players have the same sets, then the set with more cards of the more valuable color wins. Sample: if the card on the bottom of the deck was red , then the set of red 4-5-6 wins over a set with 4 -5- 6 . If the same sets have the same quantity of the more valuable color (when red, as a sample, is more valuable), then the player, whose lowest number is red, wins, and if the both lowest numbers in both sets are red, then the next red number determine the winner, and so on. Sample: set 3 -4- 5 -6 wins over 3- 4 - 5 -6, and set 3 -4- 5 -6 wins over 3 -4-5- 6 . If the players have absolutely identical winning sets, then the other cards in their hand helps determine a winner, by the same rule: the cards with the lower number of the preferred color help to win. Sample: set 1- 3 - 5 - 6 - 6 -6-6 wins over 1- 3- 5 - 6 - 6-6-6 , when the red color, as a sample, is more valuable. If two sets are absolutely the same, then both players should split the prize. The are two variations how the players may continue to play DYNASTIA card game: with counting scores, or without. The short version of this game does not require any counting; the players stop, shuffle the cards and start again. The long version of the game is more interesting, as it requires to count the scores each round, and the loser in one game could become a winner after playing several rounds. Playing Dynastia card game with adding the scores also helps teaching children the math. First, the players should decide how many rounds they are going to play. The best rule is that amount of rounds should be equal with the amount of players, or double it, or multiply several times. Four players should play four rounds, or eight, or twelve. Or, they can play until one player, the winner, gets 200, or 500, or 1000, or any particular amount of scores. The dealer, or someone responsible for keeping truck of the scores, should write down the names of all the players on the paper. After the first round ends, the players keep their cards on the desk, face up. They count the total amount of all the scores from the best sets of each player, and the winner receive all those scores and add them to his account. The second winner in this game receive almost all the scores, except the scores of the first winner, and write them down against his name. Note: instead of counting all the scores again, the second winner may simply subtract the scores of the first winner from the total scores. The third winner get all the scores, except the scores from the first and second winners, and so on. The "last" winner, or loser, gets only his scores. After all the scores were written down, the players play another round, get more scores, and play again, as agreed. The player with more scores at the end of the game with multiple rounds wins.
